The Rising: Saving Our Youth advocates for meaningful parole opportunities and second chances for individuals who committed offenses between the ages of 18 and 20. We believe young people possess a unique capacity for growth, rehabilitation, and transformation, and that justice should balance accountability with the possibility of redemption. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we foster informed dialogue among policymakers, community leaders, impacted families, and citizens about the importance of youthful offender reform and its benefits for individuals, families, and public safety.
Our mission is to ensure that people are not defined forever by decisions made during a period of youth and immaturity. We support policies that allow rehabilitated individuals to demonstrate personal growth, accept responsibility, and earn consideration for release based on their transformation. Together, we work to restore hope, advance justice, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for deserving individuals to build productive and meaningful lives.
